Planeta Kino, Mobile app for the most popular cinema-circuit in Ukraine
Our office was invited to participate in the design and development of mobile application for the most popular cinema-circuit in Ukraine – Planet Cinema. This is an advanced cinemas around the country that use the technologies of IMAX, 4DX and Cinetech + and actively interacts with their visitors.

The client
Planeta Kino opened its first movie theatre in Kyiv in 2008, becoming the first cinema in Ukraine to feature IMAX technology. Today, the chain operates 9 theatres with 49 cinema halls across 6 cities. Always committed to innovation and customer service, Planeta Kino was also the first cinema in Eastern Europe to launch a mobile app and introduce online ticket purchases. More than just a place to watch films, Planeta Kino creates immersive journeys that connect audiences with stories in unforgettable ways.
Problem
The lack of the solid communication strategy and faceless identity was standing in a way of the brand – the viewers did not distinguish the Planeta Kino and the IMAX brand, meaning nobody was capable to remember the name of the theatre.
Solution
We created a simple, convenient and modern application aimed at interacting with the user and facilitating the process of acquaintance with the information he needs and encourages the purchase of a ticket.
The user able to quickly and in a convenient format receive the necessary information about the films, make his choice and make the purchase of the ticket as easy as possible.
