Behance Featured in Graphic Design
Kvadrat is a roman cuisine brand. It is focused on those who are bored with the standard fast-food but want to be served fast and get the top-restaurant food quality. Through a very collaborative effort we have helped Kvadrat owners to spread their service with the new website. It combines top-class design with unique e-commerce platform approach.
Launching a new food concept in the competitive HORECA market is always challenging. Kvadrat needed to tell “the old story” of Roman street food in a new way, while making ordering fast and intuitive. The brand lacked a clear identity and digital platform that could convey its character and attract customers who value both speed and quality.
BASOV DESIGN conducted research into existing HORECA platforms, aligning design and business goals into a new concept. We created a responsive website with Retina support, custom WordPress coding, and a clear UI/UX structure. The branding was built around the square as a style element, expanded into 12 dynamic square segment patterns. These patterns were applied across interiors, packaging, and digital assets, giving Kvadrat a flexible, recognizable identity.




According to statistics, Rome the most friendly city in Europe towards the street food. Half of the time citizens spend on the street and like no other have a good understanding of the street food. So “the Square” was born – concept of a good quality fast food, for those who appreciate good and fast food.






The base is a square as the style element. But since the square shape is fairly static, and the concept is implied street-fast-food, the created style has a maximum of dynamic.



As additional branding elements, a total of 12 square segment-patterns were designed. Patterns can be easily incorporated in restaurant interior, china, badges and packaging. Graphic solutions are comprehensive, multifunctional and unique: they help to convey the character of the brand and provide countless restaurant styling options.




Patterns perfectly arrange in the interior and dishes of the restaurant, bages and packaging. It really helps to convey character of the brand and free hands with branding of the whole restaurant: solutions are diverse, they do not get bored and are graphically united together.












The collaboration delivered a dynamic brand identity and a fast, user-friendly eCommerce platform. Customers can now navigate easily and place one-click orders, while the square-based design system provides countless branding options for interiors and packaging. The project was featured on Behance Graphic Design and reinforced Kvadrat’s position as an innovative Roman pizza-bar concept.
